University Gold Medal Awarded to KUSHAL JAIN, GYAN GANGA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCE, JABALPUR for being the Topper of B.E. (ME) Examination of June 2009.

Mr. James Maslamani, Academic Relationship Manager for West Zone, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) visited Gyan Ganga Institute for one day workshop on “Behavioral Skills and Job prospects in TCS” on 23rd June’10.The students of 6th semester of all the branches of B.E attended this workshop. He laid thrust on the qualities and skills required by a candidate to face cut throat competition in the industry and make oneself most eligible for the job opportunity.

Another event that took place was a guest lecture by Mr. Sidharth Sanghi on “US Culture & Education System “. Mr. Sanghi has done Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Purdue University , USA. He shared his experience of Study and program structure in US with the students of Gyan Ganga Institute. It was really very motivational and informative lecture delivered by him.Purdue university is one of the top 50 ranking universities in the World.

Engineering Colleges have been traditionally ranked as a part of the professional education issue that magazines publish. According to the analysis done for Top Engineering Institutes by “Outlook” & “Dataquest” CAREERS 360, June 2010 “Engineering Special” magazine has rated Gyan Ganga Inst. of Technology & Sciences as “A” Institute on All India Basis and recommended as right college for Top Engineering Branches.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Piyush Trivedi, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal, inaugurated EXTENDED ACADEMIC COMPLEX on June 5, 2010 at Gyan Ganga College of Technology, Jabalpur. Dr. S. P. Koshtha, Former Vice-Chancellor, Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur was the Guest of Honour. The inaugural ceremony was followed by a Tree plantation and then a program at the Auditorium – SPANDAN.

The program started with Saraswati Vandana and then Floral welcome was given to all the distinguished guests. The program began with a welcome note address by the Group Director, Dr. Maneesh Choubey. Annual Report presentation of GGITS and GGCT was given by Dr. D.V.S. Bhagavanulu and Prof. V.C. Arora, respectively. After Report presentation, Chairman of the Group addressed to all and then an address was given by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor on “Quality Education”.

Honoring of Sr. Engg. Teachers and School Principals was done and momentos were presented to all by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor. Chairman of the Group, Er. D. C. Jain also presented a Memento to the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor. Students of the final year securing top positions in their engineering branches were awarded with gold medals by the Institute.

Later in the program, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor made a presentation on e-Governance. He mainly described about the initiatives taken by RGPV, Bhopal for making paperless office and all the transactions and communication with University through internet only. He also told the Principals and other IT professionals of all Engg. Colleges of Jabalpur that even paying the fees, certificates, mark sheets, etc. to be done through online only.

In the end, a vote of thanks was given by Prof. V.C. Arora, Director, GGCT and the program was concluded with National Anthem.

Student of Computer Science and Engg. 6th Semester-Mahendra Pratap Singh,Ajith Anand , Koushik Das & Varun Kumar Agrawal got first position in Robotics event held in MANIT in April 2010.They made an autonomous Robot that could detect collision and sustain in the arena for stipulated period of time.There were 3 rounds with increasing level of difficulty but their robot was the leader in all the rounds .

The robot was made with microcontrollers and two TSOP sensors.The software used was Flash Magic and overall programming was done with Embedded C language.

Also students presented paper on “Light Trees-Optical Multicasting” which was shortlisted out of 300 papers submitted in MANIT Bhopal.
